Chinese Action RPG Wins Game of the Year and Two Additional Categories

Chinese-made action RPG Black Myth: Wukong has emerged as the standout winner at the 2024 Steam Awards, clinching three major titles in the community-voted event. Alongside the prestigious Game of the Year award, the game secured wins in the Best Game You Suck At and Outstanding Story-Rich Game categories.

This remarkable achievement places Black Myth: Wukong in a league of its own, as it becomes the most-awarded title in a single year at the Steam Awards. Previous fan favorites like Cuphead, Baldur's Gate 3, and Red Dead Redemption 2 only managed to win two categories in their respective years.

The success of Black Myth: Wukong reflects the massive support from its fan base. The game set records for the second-highest concurrent player count for a single game on Steam and contributed to the platform's highest simultaneous user count ever.

The accolades come as a consolation for the developers at Game Science, whose game narrowly missed top honors at The Game Awards.
